2020 has been a disappointing year for so many, David and myself included. For my birthday this year we should have been holidaying in a loch-side cabin in Scotland’s Trossach’s National Park, but due to Covid-19 restrictions, we made the best of a difficult situation and spent the day at Formby Point. No trip to the beach is complete without an excitable Border Collie in tow. We may not have seen any red squirrels in the woods but we certainly made the most of our time at the beach, even seeing a few mermaid purses. Here’s a few pictures from our trip.

How have you been coping in 2020? Have any holiday plans changed/cancelled?
Thanks for reading, and keep well,
Christine x
Lovely pics. My birthday is this month and wil and I were meant to be going for the wknd to grange over sands. Not so now of course. I would still like to go to the sea for a day out on the lancs coast, but will probably be classed as to far away.
I have never seen a mermaids purse ! X

Commiserations on your weekend away, I know how it feels 😦 I’d never seen a mermaid’s purse either, it was a nice surprise! x

Belated happy birthday wishes. No altered plans for us, quite enough excitement coping with altered house moving plans to risk anything else. I had a quiet famly day at home for my birthday, and plan for a trip to Stonehenge to celebrate in the Spring instead.

Happy belated birthday sorry I missed it. My birthday was spent indoors and an hours walk around the local park before it went dark, George ordered a Sushi takeout to make it a bit different, very tasty.
