About Christine Lucas!

About This Blog:

Hi, I’m Christine and welcome to my blog!

This site has seen some changes over the past few years since I have been blogging. From the early days when I wrote about the visiting garden birds to my yarden (back yard/garden) in Liverpool, to the now more adventurous wild swimming and long country walks.

For the past four years I have participated in the Wildlife Trusts’ 30 Days Wild and blogged about all things nature, from plants to growing vegetables and attempting to identify the numerous bees, butterflies and moths I come across. I shall hopefully be participating again in 2019!

In 2017 I signed up for the challenge, #walk1000miles, organised by Country Walking magazine.  I thoroughly enjoyed getting out more and enjoying long country walks. The community on their Facebook page was very supportive. Perhaps you can sign up for 2018? I have!

#walk1000miles Medal!

Alongside the many vegan/vegetarian recipes I try, you will also find the occasionally video from my YouTube page, reviews on holidays and visits to UK zoos, as well as short passages of creative writing and poetry.

I thank you for taking the time to stop by, and I look forward to you joining in the conversations on what I blog about. If you like what you see then do follow or if you like you can follow me on Facebook. I have a page solely for this blog.

  1. Hi Christine – I’d like to put your blog forward for The Very Inspiring Blogger award (see: http://billoddiesbirdfood.wordpress.com/2012/12/18/the-very-inspiring-blogger-award-me/) are you happy for me to do that? There are a few rules, which you can see on that page link. We receive your blogs regularly at Bill Oddie’s Bird Food Recipes and can see how much effort you put in to keep the blog fresh and appealing. Please let me know and I’ll add your details to my page… Best wishes for 2013. Simon.
