A Year in Film 2020: Advent Calendar – Day One

For the last month of my Year in Film 2020, I wanted to do something a little different. Since it’s December and Christmas is getting nearer, I’ve decided to make a Christmas movie advent calendar. Every day for the next 24 days I shall be blogging about the Christmas films I’ve watched. David and I have already decided on a list – so without further ado, here’s day one!

The Christmas Chronicles

Christine’s rating: ✩✩✩✩ David’s rating: ✩✩✩

Siblings Kate and Teddy Pierce hatch a scheme to capture Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. When the plan goes awry, the kids join forces with a somewhat jolly Saint Nick and his loyal elves to save the holiday before it’s too late.

I just loved this Christmas movie when it came out in 2018! Kurt Russell is perfectly cast as Santa Claus. It’s just an action packed, heartwarming, fun film!

What is your favourite Christmas movie?

December Photo Challenge 2018 – Day Two

Day Two: Today’s photo prompt is Advent. I chose this as today, is the first Sunday of Advent. Christian’s celebrate the Advent season in preparation for the Nativity, at Christmas. The term Advent comes from the Latin, meaning ‘coming or arrival.’ Some people prepare for Christmas with Advent candles, wreathes or calendars. Here’s a picture and short video of Artie enjoying his Advent calendar as he counts down to Christmas.

Do you celebrate Advent? What are your traditions at this time of year?
